Today's concurrent service, Cmdr Gideon spoke on BGR (boy-girl relationship), the closing; what girls want the guys to know and what the guys want the girls to know. Let me see if I can remember EVERYTHING he mentioned.
*I find it very true. Imagine your future wife or husband dated a few guys/girls before marrying you. I know I wouldn't want that. How about you?**
- Puctuality. The girls appreciate if the guys would be punctual when picking girls up. This is actually for both girls and guys. Guys should learn to be punctual and girls should also learn to get ready on time and let not the guys wait in front of your house for half an hour. When you're on time, you're actually late. When you are early, you are actually on time.
- When sending someone home, always wait for the person to enter the house before leaving his/her place to ensure safety. And switch on your car light (inside's light) so that his/her parents know who their child is hanging out with (????).
- If a girl likes a guy or vice versa and there is no mutual interest, do not spread the news around cause this will embarrassed the other party. People who often says this line, "I tell you something ar... only you know but don't tell other people k?", can NEVER be trusted (based on my own experience...)
- When a girl asked a guy, "how do I look on this dress?", means the girl want an honest answer from you. This is a 'answer also die, dont answer also die' question. Guy should answer it honesty BUT in a not insulting or criticising way. Maybe you can say, 'perhaps you should try the other colour?', or 'the outfit cutting is not suitable for you'. Don't lar be so straight forward and say, 'you look like an elephant in this dress!'. This is sooo OUCH! In another word, don't be blunt.
- Parts of the girls body that guys should not touch... any parts that is between her head and her toe. Same goes for the guys.
- Guys should OFFER (not MUST) to pay for the meal(s). Guys who are not financial stable or the "you pay 1st, I'll pay you back later" kinda guy, is not even worth going out with (as a date). *Cmdr Gideon: As long as I'm your youth pastor and as long as you are still studying, you shall NOT be in any relationship.
